The most important judges of the Council’s performance are, of course, the people living in the borough. For this reason, every two years the council commissions an independent research company to seek the views of residents.
In the latest survey, in late 2016, a total of 1,207 people carefully selected by the researchers to be representative of the community at large, were interviewed about all aspects of the council’s services and its effectiveness. Encouragingly, the results were
overwhelmingly positive.
Resident satisfaction has increased by more than 3% compared to the previous survey in 2014.
Concern by local people about antisocial behaviour has reduced by more than 3%.
