Documentation needed for housing application

Proof of identification: 

  • Passports for adult members of the household. If you do not have a passport, please provide alternative photo ID and a birth certificate for children.
  • Evidence of National Insurance Numbers (NINO) for all household members aged 16 and above

Proof of income: 

  • 9x months most recent Bank statements for all accounts for all adult household members – must include all pages and be itemised
  • 9x months most recent benefit statements all adult household members and all other benefits award letters (for example DLA, Carer’s allowance, and employment support allowance)
  • 9x months most recent payslips for all working members of the household.
  • Self-assessment for self employed

Proof of address:

  • Council tax
  • Electricity, water bill
  • Electoral letter
  • HMRC letters
  • Tenancy Agreement

Proof of medical:

  • GP letter
  • Patient Summary
  • Discharge letters
  • Medical reports with confirmed diagnoses

Status in UK:

  • UK passport
  • Home Office share code
