Public health funerals data and information

We are obliged to deal with all aspects of a state-assisted funeral, including registration of the death, dealing with the undertakers and organising the details of the funeral. 

We are required to publish data on public health funerals under the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984. This includes information such as:

  • the deceased's date of birth and death
  • the deceased's gender
  • whether or not there was a next of kin
  • whether there was a burial or cremation
