Voting by post

Cancel your postal vote

You must cancel your postal vote in writing if you wish to vote in person at a polling station instead.

To cancel a postal vote, you need to send us a signed letter confirming you wish to cancel.

The deadline for receiving written cancellation before an election is 5pm, 11 working days before polling day.

As an alternative to postal voting, may want to consider appointing a proxy to vote on your behalf instead.
