West London Waste Plan Refresh - Regulation 18 Consultation The West London Waste Plan (WLWP) is a joint waste plan taken forward by 7 waste planning authorities in West London: LB Brent, LB Ealing, LB Harrow, LB Hillingdon, LB Hounslow, LB Richmond upon Thames, and the Old Oak Common and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC). The current WLWP was adopted in 2015 and plans for all waste in the plan area up to 2031. The WLWP is being reviewed to ensure it remains up to date and is in general conformity with the London Plan 2021 covering a period to 2041. The new WLWP will contain policy to promote sustainable waste management as part of a circular economy approach, will safeguard qualifying/contributing existing waste sites within West London, and will contain policies to guide the development of new waste sites and the intensification of existing waste sites to ensure these are delivered to the highest possible standard. |
