Parking for a funeral
On the street outside the family home
You can request permission to park up to four vehicles outside the family home on the day of the funeral. This includes the funeral vehicles.
If you need more parking spaces, you need to use visitor parking permits.
At the funeral venue
If suitable, people attending a funeral service are allowed to park on a single yellow line for up to two hours.
The funeral service venue needs to request this at least five days before the funeral. If necessary, we can provide traffic cones to cordon off an area.
All parked vehicles need to put a note in the car window confirming they are attending the funeral.
You cannot request parking in a restricted area for wakes or ceremonies after the funeral service.
