The Council has sent a delegation to the Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) which takes place in Leeds from 20-22 May 2025, where it will promote major opportunities - including the Golden Mile, the West London Orbital, and the transformation of Feltham.
Led by Council leader Councillor Shantanu Rajawat, and supported by senior officers, Hounslow’s presence at UKREiiF builds on the borough’s Opportunity Hounslow Business Case for Growth - the first of its kind in London - with its clear priorities to deliver 18,000 jobs, £33bn GVA and thousands of new homes across the borough.
Today will see the launch of a refreshed Feltham Masterplan and the start of consultation with local residents on a refreshed Feltham Masterplan which resets the Council’s regeneration priorities for the years ahead.
The Masterplan includes over 3,000 new homes, 9,200 jobs, 25,000 sqm of new commercial space, and 12,000 sqm of leisure and community facilities and the consultation will ensure residents, businesses and local groups help shape the next chapter for Feltham.
Hounslow is home to 64% of London’s media production jobs and a fast-growing ecosystem of film, TV and digital businesses. The Golden Mile is at the heart of this growth, with partnerships in place with Imperial College and the University of West London to drive skills, innovation and the emerging WestTech economy.
With unrivalled access to Heathrow, the UK’s global gateway, and direct links to the M4, Great West Road and planned West London Orbital rail stations, the borough also offers smart logistics, supply chain resilience and seamless access to international markets.
Cllr Rajawat, said:
We are Ambitious for Hounslow and we know that Hounslow is a borough of opportunity, with a bold vision for inclusive, sustainable growth that puts people, place and partnership at its heart.
At UKREiiF, we’re making the case for long-term investment that delivers homes, jobs and climate resilience. And we’re excited to launch the consultation on our refreshed Feltham Masterplan – a unique chance for our community to shape the future of this proud, diverse and well-connected part of West London.
Hounslow’s wider UKREiiF showcase also includes the Golden Mile Centenary programme (GM100), new strategic opportunities at Convent Way and Commerce Road, and ongoing lobbying to deliver West London Orbital connectivity - demonstrating the Council’s commitment to regeneration, net zero, and partnership working.
