The event, which takes place on Thursday 30 January, from 6.30 to 8pm, provides an opportunity for people to meet the Council Leader and Cabinet and ask questions about the issues which matter to them. Residents can submit questions in advance or book a ticket and ask them on the night.

Topics raised at the last Question Time in September include improving transport links, tackling fly-tipping and investing in mental health and community spaces.

Cliff Crown was appointed to Brentford’s board in 2012 and has chaired since 2013. He also served on the English Football League Board and chaired the Football Association Cup Committee.

Space at Cabinet Question Time is limited, and people must book a free ticket, in advance.

Cllr Shantanu Rajawat, Leader of Hounslow Council, said:

“We’re delighted that Cliff Crown has offered his experience and support as Chair for our next Cabinet Question Time. We’ve a history of excellent chairs, with Dr Talac Mahmud, an NHS GP and Clinical Director, doing a brilliant job at Cranford Community Hub in September.

“I encourage everyone in Hounslow to share their questions on our website and book a ticket for the event, well in advance, so we can welcome as many people as possible to the Gtech Stadium and answer their questions.”

Cliff Crown said:

“I am both delighted and honoured to Chair the Hounslow Cabinet Question Time next month.

“I am looking forward to welcoming local residents to the Gtech Community stadium and to hearing about the issues that are of most concern to them.

“Brentford Football Club is at the heart of the local community and the work we do in the borough, and surrounding boroughs, is something we are rightly proud of.”

People can share their questions on the Council website, before the event, and several will be chosen for the night. Questions will also be taken from the floor.

Tickets for Question Time must be booked before Wednesday, 29 January
