On March 1, 2024, National Secondary Offer Day, 95 percent of students in the borough received offers to attend one of their preferred schools this September.
Published: Friday, 1st March 2024
The figures were released by the Pan London Admission Board, responsible for the coordination of school admissions across local authorities in London.
The data for Hounslow reveals:
- 95% received an offer to one of their preferred schools
- 92% received one of their top four preferences
- 89% received one of their top three preferences
- 67% received their first preference
All parents will be sent an email with the outcome of the application during the evening of 1 March 2024 (after 5 pm). They will need to respond to their child’s offer using the online EAdmissions portal by 15 March 2024. After this date it will not be possible to do this online as the portal will close.
Those who have not been offered their first preference school will also receive a letter by first class post on 1 March 2024. Parents can find out more information about the process and what to do next in the letter.
Councillor Lily Bath, Cabinet Member for Education, Children, Skills and Employment, said:
In Hounslow, all the secondary schools are recognised by Ofsted as either ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’ and I am delighted for the families and students who have secured placements in their preferred secondary schools this September.
As a Council we strongly believe that education holds the power to transform lives and create opportunities for children and young people, underscoring the commitment to ensuring the best possible educational experiences for all in Hounslow.
