Boston Manor Park

For the last 17 years, Keep Britain Tidy and its Love Parks Week national campaign has dedicated time each year to celebrate the green and open spaces that may be taken for granted. And Hounslow Council is proud to support this initiative each year.

With more than 160 parks and open spaces in Hounslow, our borough has plenty to celebrate. In fact, we have regularly been voted as having some of the best green spaces in the whole of London.

I am fortunate enough to live in a borough that has plenty of green spaces and popular parks on its doorstep. The work that goes on to maintain them at a high level is exemplary, and this includes our passionate residents, friends groups and volunteers.

It would be impossible to choose one park as my favourite in a borough filled with some of the best in London. What I can do though is highlight the park I visit the most with my young family.

Brentford’s Boston Manor Park is a stunning example of juxtaposition between the urban structures that surround the park and the untouched nature that can be seen throughout. Tranquil woodlands, a flowing river, and wildflower meadows humming with life, alongside state-of-the-art tennis courts and a fitness park ready for visitors to get active. Cushioned in the heart of this majestic park is the stunning Jacobean Manor which recently reopened its doors to the public.

The recently refurbished lake in Boston Manor Park now has new edges, fences, and a pond-dipping platform, where we can look and learn about the wildlife living beneath the surface. The new Walled Garden also allows opportunities to learn about gardening and growing food. These facilities are great ways to teach children and adults about nature and the world around them.

As of June, it's also home to its new café, The Potting Shed. Open 7 days a week, 8am - 6pm, it's the perfect spot to enjoy refreshments while taking in Brenford's nature.

Throughout Love Parks Week and beyond, Hounslow hosts brilliant park activities across the borough. We have many wonderful parks and open spaces for you to visit and enjoy; come outside and discover your local park this summer.
