Councillor Shantanu Rajawat, Leader of Hounslow Council, and Councillor Lily Bath, Cabinet Member for Education, Children, Skills and Employment said:

“Like many across our borough, we are deeply saddened by the tragic news that has emerged over the weekend about the deaths of a family of four from our Feltham North ward, including two children, Maja and Dawid. Maja attended Southville Primary School and Dawid was due to start nursery there after the summer.

'We know this is devastating news to family, friends, and the close community in Feltham North.

“Once again, we’d like to thank the Metropolitan Police and other emergency services for their continued work and support to the community during this difficult time. Whilst the circumstances of their deaths, are being investigated, the police have confirmed they are not currently seeking anybody else in connection with the incident.

“As we come together as a community to process this shocking incident, it is important during these early stages that residents refrain from spreading or sharing speculation about causes, out of respect, and in the light of an active police investigation. We also have a duty to those affected by this tragedy, which will be particularly upsetting to children, to be responsible about what is posted on social media.

“The Council is working closely with the team at Southville Primary School who are supporting parents and pupils navigate this difficult news.

“We are lucky to have strong community ties in our borough and it's that spirit to look out for one another that will help us all recover from this tragedy.”
