Families affected by a loved one in prison may face a number of challenges; including financial hardship, relationship breakdowns, anxiety, and health issues.
Having a parent or loved one in prison can be detrimental to a child or young person’s wellbeing and behaviour. When this happens, it is important for the child or young person to know that they are not alone, that there are others who face similar issues, and that, most importantly, it is not their fault!
If you are working with children or young people who have a family member in prison; you will find some useful resources in this section to support you with your work.
