Apply for a temporary event notice (TENs)

Who we inform and what to do if you suffer nuisance from a TEN?

A temporary event notice is intended as a light touch process, and as such, the carrying on of licensable activities does not have to be authorised by the licensing authority on an application.

As this is a notice and not an application the legislation states that the Local Authority must only notify the police and the local authority team exercising environmental health functions (EHA). We therefore are not able to notify members of the public on these Temporary Event Notices but we do have a public register of when and where they are being held.

If you're suffering nuisance because of an event being held under a Temporary Event Notice, please visit our noise nuisance webpage - which has details explaining how you can report these issues to the team.
