Join the park user group!
Contact Natural Park Manager, Vanessa Hampton to join the Park User Group email and receive updates on upcoming events and activities: bostonmanorpark@hounslow.gov.uk and to let us know your ideas.
The Park User Group aims to get people more involved in the park by inviting them to participate through events and activities. The Group is not just for regular visitors, but also aims to include and welcome less frequent visitors and those who have never come to the park before.
The activities are not just for joining in with, but as a part of the group you may be able to help us engage with a wider audience through your own ideas, life experience or contacts. Or perhaps you may be an expert in a certain area – would you be willing to share your skills, knowledge, feedback, or lead sessions?
The Park User Group will also help to sustain park and habitat management, and engagement activities in the park. No experience necessary! The Natural Park Manager, Vanessa, will work with participants providing training, tools and guidance.
We invite you to join the Group and get involved and ‘hands on’ with:
- Woodland, meadow and orchard management skills
- Horticulture, including food growing
- Ecological surveys – of flora and fauna
- Activities for physical and mental health, and well-being
- Culture, community, heritage and arts activities
- Educational activities and developmental skills e.g. problem-solving, confidence-building
- If you have any of these skills, we’d love you to share these with us!
