If you, or your partner, are over 60 you may be eligible for sheltered accommodation.
Sheltered housing is specially designed for older people who wish to live independently in their own flat, but have the advantage of support from a scheme manager, extra security, and a call system for use in an emergency, or for assistance, if required.
Sheltered tenants can usually manage for themselves but this housing gives the tenant reassurance that someone is available to help if needed. The dedicated manager is on hand to manage the building and is available to give support, encourage communal activities and a response to any emergencies.
Typical sheltered housing is one bedroomed and self-contained with your own front door, but we also have bedsits, studio properties and even a few 2 bedroomed units. It is all centrally heated, all with communal facilities and a laundry, and always equipped for fire safety. You can choose to use the communal facilities, or live independently in your own flat with your own social network, family and friends, knowing that you can join in with communal activities as and when you want to.

Extra Care
There are four extra care schemes in Hounslow that offer housing with care and support delivered by an on-site care provider. Our largest scheme, Bristol Court in Feltham, has 94 homes open to residents aged 18 and over. The other three schemes are Park Lodge in Hounslow (ages 50+), Greenrod in Brentford (ages 55+) and Bridgewater in Isleworth (ages 55+).
