Joining the disabled children’s register

Children and young people who live in the borough aged between 0 and 18 year old and are defined as being disabled under the Equalities Act 2010 can be put on the disabled children's register.

Parents and carers of all children and young people on the register can opt to receive the network newsletter.

The network card

To be eligible for the network card, the child or young person must meet the criteria for the disabled children's register and the criteria listed on the Aiming High Common Access Framework (Pathways of Need 2 & 3), see the disabled children’s register application form for more details.

Registration can be made by:

  • filling out an application form
  • registering over the phone or in person with the network coordinator

Alternative languages or formats can be requested with the network coordinator.
