Charlton House Albany House and Osier Court CPO

The London Borough of Hounslow has made The London Borough of Hounslow (Charlton House and Albany House) a Compulsory Purchase Order 2023 under Section 226(1)(a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and Section 13(1) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981.

This notice order has been submitted to the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities for confirmation, and if confirmed, the order will authorise the council to purchase compulsorily the land and rights described in the schedule for the purpose of:

  • facilitating the carrying out of development;
  • redevelopment or improvement of that land which the Council considers will contribute to the promotion and improvement of the economic;
  • social and environmental wellbeing of the area by enabling the delivery of a residential led development comprising affordable dwellings;
  • retail and commercial floorspace; and
  • hard and soft landscaping.

A public local enquiry will be held by Jameson Bridgwater DipTPI MRTP at Chiswick Town Hall, Heathfield Terrace, Turnham Green, Chiswick, London W4 4JN on Tuesday 6 February 2024 at 10am

The Inquiry is estimated to last two days.
