Support for voluntary and community organisations

Support for community and voluntary organisations

Hounslow’s Community Partnership’s Unit is committed to providing the highest standards of support and information to voluntary and community organisations in the borough.

Here are the main ways that we offer support:

Community Information Guide

The Community Information Guide provides the best guide to all of the voluntary and community groups across the borough providing support, advice and important services to our residents.

In addition you will find information about community buildings that are available to hire.

If you are a  voluntary organisation, a community group, a tenant’s or residents’ group or any other group that provides services in your community we would encourage you to add yourself to the Community Information Guide.
This is completely FREE and will take you no more than 5 – 10 minutes to complete.

There is no better way to raise awareness of your group and promote the work that you do.

  • Register online
  • Create your own record
  • Add details of your group – such as the services you provide, links to your website , your logo if you have one
  • You are now live for everyone in Hounslow to see

If you have any problems registering, or you would like more information please email: cig@hounslow.gov.uk

Venues for hire

Across the London Borough of Hounslow there is a very wide selection of venues available for community use.
The facilities that are on offer cater for all types of event and activity and range from small rooms and studios to large public halls.
The council's Community Information Guide contains a directory of venues for hire with details of the booking arrangements, prices and opening times

Hounslow Voice Network (HVN)

HVN aims to bring together voluntary and community groups across the borough and by working together have a stronger local ‘voluntary sector voice’.
HVN holds regular forums/networking meetings which are open to all members and allows the discussion of issues affecting the local voluntary and community sector (VCS) with representatives from statutory services such as the Council, NHS and Police. HVN meetings are also a great way to meet and network with other local groups.
