Cancelling your postal vote

You must cancel your postal vote in writing. You should send a signed letter to confirm that you want to cancel your postal vote as a scanned attachment by email to elections@hounslow.gov.uk, or by post to Electoral Services, London Borough of Hounslow, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow TW3 3EB.

The deadline for Electoral Services to receive a written cancellation of postal voting arrangement before an election is 5pm, 11 working days before polling day.

If you wish to change from a postal vote to a proxy vote, you must complete a proxy vote application. To complete an application to vote by proxy on the secure government portal, visit www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote  

If you are unable to submit an application on the secure government portal, please email elections@hounslow.gov.uk to request a paper application form and return the completed form to us either by email to elections@hounslow.gov.uk or by post to the address above.  Please note that the deadline to change from a postal vote to a proxy vote for an election is 5pm, 11 working days before polling day.
