Nursery admissions

Applications have now closed but you can still apply.  Places may still be available at your preferred school.

Please read the information below for how to apply.

All Hounslow infant and primary schools (except Edison Primary and Nishkam School West London) have nursery classes.

Children can take up a free 15-hour place in these school nurseries in the September after their third birthday.

Some school nurseries now offer 30 hours for working parents. Read more about the free hours for 3 and 4 year olds here: and

They can’t be admitted before the school year in which they reach the age of four.

If your child was born was born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017, they can start in the nursery class of one of our schools in September 2020.

How to apply

The closing date is 1 May 2020.

Complete a nursery application form

Email or post the application directly to the school.  A list of schools and their contact details can be found here

You can apply to more than one school but must send each school an individual application form.  Your application form must be received by the school by 1 May 2020.

Your application must go directly to the school, not to us.

Please read our starting nursery class in a Hounslow School September 2020 brochure.

Education in a school nursery is not compulsory and it may not be possible for every child to secure a place in a school nursery. If your child already has a place at a private day nursery or playgroup, you may prefer to keep them there until they start reception in the following September.

All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to up to 15 hours of early education each week for 38 weeks of the year.  Read about the Early Education Entitlement
