Extended opening of schools from 1 June 2020

Extended opening of schools for Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 Pupils from 1 June 2020

In line with government advice, primary schools have been putting arrangements into place to extend their opening to Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils in addition to vulnerable children and children of critical workers from 1 June 2020.

Each school will have their individual arrangements in place and they have been contacting parents to inform them of these.  Please check your school’s website for up to date information.  School contacts can be found in our directory of schools.

Secondary schools, sixth forms and colleges will also provide face-to-face contact for Year 10, Year 12 and equivalent 16-19 further education students to help them prepare for exams next year. It is expected this will begin from 15 June, with around a quarter of these secondary students in at any point.
