LCDO The Conference of the Birds, Insectotropics – Summer of Culture 2025 Launch
Summer of Culture 2025 kicked off on 24 May with an incredible free evening performance in Bell Square, Watermans’ outdoor performance space: LCDO The Conference of the Birds by the immersive theatre company Insectotropics.
LCDO The Conference of the Birds was inspired by the 12th-century Persian poem The Conference of the Birds by the poet Din Attar, which narrates the journey of 30,000 birds in search of Simurgh, a divinity, through seven valleys.
On this occasion, the company reinterpreted the poem to create an immersive experience, merging Insectotropics’ technological theatre with live performance and visual storytelling.
