Based at Brentford Football Club's Community Sports Trust site, Wellbeing and Recovery College is a training and resource centre which develops and delivers education and tools to support wellbeing and the self-management of mental health difficulties. It offers a range of online and face to face courses and workshops.
The team works to support people in their recovery and to support people who care for others. Their ethos is to convey messages of hope, empowerment, possibility and aspiration. They celebrate diversity and are actively reaching out to communities to make their courses as accessible as possible.
The Wellbeing and Recovery College offer open access to adults living, working or studying in the Trust’s 3 boroughs (Hounslow, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham). They welcome new and not so new students who want to learn about their mental health and wellbeing in a friendly, supportive environment.
The College offers a wide range of topics, and a mixture of shorter Workshops and longer Courses. The college works to an educational rather than a clinical model. All their courses are co-produced and co-delivered. This means that those with lived experience of mental health challenges and professional training (often both) work alongside families and carers to develop and deliver their courses.
