School term dates for 2022 - 2023
Not all schools follow the term dates below. Governors of academies, foundation and voluntary aided schools set their own dates. For term dates for an individual school, we recommend you contact the school directly.
Schools must meet for at least 380 sessions or 190 days during any school year to educate their pupils. If a school is prevented from meeting for one or more sessions because of an unavoidable event, it should find a practical way of holding extra sessions.

Inset Training Days
The above schedule sets out 195 days in total, providing a framework for schools from which five days should be selected as inset training days for teachers, set by the Headteacher in consultation with their staff.
Please note that the total number of working days for teachers is 195 and for pupils is 190.
