Councillor Katherine Dunne, Cabinet Member for Communities and Climate Emergency, said: “I was deeply concerned to learn about Tuesday’s stabbing in Kingsley Road, Hounslow. The 19-year-old victim remains critically ill in hospital and our thoughts are with his family and friends. We hope he makes a full recovery.

“Police have advised that a man in his twenties was swiftly arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

“I’d like to reassure residents that Hounslow has relatively low levels of violent crime and we continue to work with the police to prevent knife crime and serious violence in all forms. We need our communities to work together with us on this and we urge people to come forward with information that can help us stop violent crime.

“Please, if you have any information about this or any other issue, call 101 quoting reference Cad 6827/04Feb.

You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously or 0800555111 or report online at www.met.police.uk.”
