Hounslow Council’s recycling centre, Space Waye will be temporarily closed to trade visitors from 13 - 24 January 2020 for essential maintenance.
Published: Wednesday, 8th January 2020
Residents arriving in cars will remain unaffected as the scheduled works will not impact the public side, however residents will not be able to utilise vans or trailers during this period or dispose of construction/demolition or DIY waste.
Space Waye will remain open to the public 8am until 4pm seven days a week. Last entry is 3:45pm. To learn more about how to access Space Waye and the materials we can accept, please see here!
If you are a resident using a van or trailer or using a vehicle over 6ft high during this time then please visit www.westlondonwaste.gov.uk/recycling-sites for alternative locations. These sites are under the management of neighbouring boroughs so please do check their own opening times and procedures before arrival.
Councillor Guy Lambert, Cabinet Member for Highways, Recycling and Companies said:
“I’m delighted to report that we are investing in improvements to the Space Waye site and apologise for inconvenience to those who would otherwise use the site during the restricted period. Hounslow Council encourages residents to utilise the free access to Space Waye for safely disposing of items that can’t be managed as part of flat or household weekly recycling collections. Residents can also explore neighbouring borough recycling centres by checking details on the West London Waste Authority website - these sites may be closer to where you live.
“Please be aware of the restrictions in place during 13 – 24 January before arranging van hire or trailers for larger scale clear outs.”
