Statement from Hounslow Council on fire at Thornhill House, Chiswick

London Fire Brigade were called to attend a fire at a property in Thornhill House, Chiswick, in the early hours of this morning.

Councillor Lily Bath, Deputy Leader of Hounslow Council, said:

“London Fire Brigade were called to attend a fire at a property in Thornhill House, Chiswick, in the early hours of this morning. Sadly, one resident has died. Our thoughts and condolences are with their family, friends and neighbours.

“The fire, which was contained to one property, has been extinguished and some residents have started to return to their homes. Staff from the council’s emergency planning and housing teams are currently on site and assessing the housing needs of tenants.  People are requested to avoid the Wood Street area while a police cordon is in place.”
