Statement on the incident at Union Lane on Tuesday 3 December
Published: Thursday, 5th December 2019
“The council is taking very seriously the incidents which took place on Tuesday 3 December 2019 on Union Lane in Isleworth.
“We were saddened and very concerned to hear about guns being discharged, and the stabbing of a young man.
“We will, of course, work with and support the police in every way that we can as they carry out their investigations.
“We recognise the importance of engaging with and reassuring residents about their safety. That is why we are working with the Police, Notting Hill Genesis Housing Association, and local safer neighbourhood coordinator to arrange an urgent meeting with residents of the Harmony Estate and Union Lane to hear their concerns; share with them the actions that we are taking to improve the safety of the estate and our borough; and discuss what further steps could be taken.“
