Following on from Mayor Khan’s “Homes For Londoners” conference last week, at which he tasked developers to redouble their efforts to build homes which Londoners genuinely need, Hounslow Council revealed that it is set to deliver its commitment to build 1,000 new council homes by 2022.

According to a brand new survey conducted by leading business-to-business publication, Inside Housing Magazine, Hounslow is in the England’s top 10 councils for new homes, and the second highest London local authority.

Cllr Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council, who fully supported the Mayor’s conference, said:

“I am delighted Inside Housing has recognised the achievements of the council in taking a lead on building our new homes. This is very good news for residents in the borough of Hounslow as they can be assured that we are honouring our pledge made last year that we will have reached 1,000 new homes by 2022”.
