Chief Operating Officer, Colin Gallaugher explained the reasoning behind the new branding.
“LFM 360 has been running successfully as a wholly owned company of London Borough of Hounslow since April 2017. In this time we have undergone significant changes with increases in work streams as well as staff. We started with just 120 employees and were only doing planned works. Now we have 300 employees and we are undertaking huge amounts of responsive repairs, grounds maintenance and facilities management as well as all our original planned works. These changes as well as those listed below, necessitate a need to change the brand and name to more closely reflect the current and future aspirations of our company”.
Cllr Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council added: “Congratulations to Colin and his team on the successful rebranding of the company. They are an outstanding facilities management arm to the Council and I have no doubt will continue to be so. At present there is a high level of brand ambiguity within the organisation and other stakeholders, largely because of confusion related to its original name. There is another Council company called Lampton 360 Group . Clearly having two companies called almost the same creates confusion – hence the Cabinet voted unanimously to back the launch of coalo today”.
Eric Sharpe, Chair of the new company added: “The name 'coalo' comes from the Latin and simply means sustain and nurture together, which is what we do. We sustain our housing stock and nurture positive relationships for our community and customers. We can also apply the same idea for all of us that work for coalo. We all want to work in a company that values development and opportunities. As a company we have been, and will continue to be all about delivering on target and on cost with excellent quality”.
