Cllr Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council said:
“Visitors and residents would have noticed repair work being carried out on the exterior of Hounslow House for the last two weeks, following the dislodging of a window reveal (the outer panel) on the front of the building. The Council took immediate action to ensure the safety of pedestrians, visitors and staff, with erecting scaffolding and placing a protective cover on the front and back entrances to the building. Linkcity, the Hounslow House developer, is carrying out the necessary repairs using two abseiling technicians to ensure that this does not happen again. Their work will be completed by the weekend and as of Monday 9 September, both side pathways will be open for access to staff.
“During some of the repair work, it was necessary to close the road in front of Hounslow House as an extra safety measure for pedestrians, I’m pleased to say that Bath Road is now fully open. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused. I would also like to inform residents that any costs incurred by the Council in relation to the repairs will be fully met by the developer.”
