The London Borough of Hounslow has transferred the David Henry Waring Charity to the Elizabeth Jane Jones Charity and has officially asked it to take over Hounslow’s trustee status
Published: Thursday, 25th July 2019
It was announced at a ceremony in Hounslow House yesterday (24 July). Elizabeth Jane Jones has been a Bedfont housing charity since 1934 with homes on the nearby Fairholme Estate.
The David Henry Waring Home has provided homes and gardens for the elderly and needy in Bedfont since 1949. Hounslow Council has been the Corporate Trustee of the charity since 1953, looking after the home and gardens.
All parties agree that this new partnership should bring much needed investment to the David Henry Waring Home - the new Corporate Trustee has exciting plans to develop the Home so that more residents can enjoy the homes and garden at David Henry Waring Court.
Cllr Steve Curran said: “We have come to the end of a long and thorough process to secure the most viable and sustainable future for the David Henry Waring charity. I am very pleased, therefore, that we have today transferred our trusteeship to the Elizabeth Jane Jones Trustee Limited.”
Clifton Gage, Director of Elizabeth Jane Jones Trustee Limited said: “We are looking forward to helping the David Waring Home flourish”.
