The following is a joint statement from Network Rail, South Western Railways and Hounslow Council regarding the lifts at Feltham Station being currently out of order:
Published: Thursday, 27th June 2019
“Network Rail and SWR apologise that a technical fault means that the lifts at Feltham station are out of order. We know how important step-free access is to passengers and are very sorry for the recent problems. Since first reported, our engineers have worked to fix the problems as quickly as possible: a team was initially on site on the same day. Unfortunately, due to the complexity of the problem, the final repairs have taken longer than originally anticipated. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. We have put in place alternative arrangements including additional members of staff, so that customers who require extra support, can access all areas of the station. Customers have been advised to allow extra time for their journeys until the lifts are working again”.
Leader of Hounslow Council, Councillor Steve Curran said:
"We are aware of the ongoing lack of lift access at Feltham Station and the impact this has on residents. We are working hard with South Western Railway and Network Rail to make sure this matter is resolved as quickly as possible and steps taken to ensure this long outage of step-free access through the station doesn’t happen again."
