Statement from Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council on suspected WW2 bomb in Chiswick.

Cllr Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council said:

“We were informed by the Police that a suspected World War 2 ordnance had been found in a garden in St Mary’s Grove, Chiswick, at approx. 1.30pm today, Wednesday 26 June.

The ordnance has now been removed and dealt with safely.

Cordons that were earlier in place around St Mary’s Grove have now been lifted.

We thank the police and emergency services for their swift response and cooperation in dealing with this incident.”
