Leader of Hounslow Council, Cllr Steve Curran said: “In these uncertain times, with no clear direction regarding Brexit, we have to look for investment wherever we can find it. If the Borough is to grow and develop to meet the aspirations of our residents and businesses for long term sustainable growth, then it is essential that we actively engage in promoting the investment opportunities that Hounslow offers.
“With a growing population of over 280,000 residents and over 12,000 SMEs and emerging businesses, and with the largest employer in West London, Heathrow Airport Ltd, it’s imperative that we attract the jobs and homes that we will need. We have exciting opportunities for doing so, including in our Great West Corridor where there is potential for creating 14,000 new jobs and 7,500 new homes; and in the West of the Borough where there is further potential for 18,000 new jobs and 11,000 new homes. These build on the significant investments we have already attracted from some of the major companies based in Hounslow including BSkyB, GlaxoSmithKline, Allianz Insurance.
“I am therefore committed to promoting, at MIPIM, the attractiveness and the golden opportunities of my Borough.
