Hogarth’s House will temporarily close between 5 – 25 March to allow vital works to be carried out as part of the Mulberry Garden project
Published: Monday, 18th February 2019
The £2.3m Heritage Lottery funded 'Mulberry Garden Project' will see the conservation and repair of the historic garden wall and the creation of an ‘exhibition garden’, the design of which will reflect elements of the different uses the garden has had throughout its history.
The new garden will expand the range of events, activities, learning and volunteering opportunities and will help in managing the increased number of visitors on site, while improving their experience.
We are also building a learning centre as part of the project. This new single-story building will be subtly connected to the existing house, providing much needed space to enable us to welcome more groups and provide varied opportunities for learning.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience this necessary closure has caused, and we look forward to welcoming you to this unique venue once improvement works are complete.
