Children start school in the September of the school year in which they will become five years of age, which means most children are four years old when they start school.
Those children born between 1 September 2011 and 31 August 2012 and currently in Year 2 at an infant’s school, should also complete their online application to transfer to junior school.
All applications must be submitted online by the closing date of Tuesday 15 January 2019, to apply visit www.eadmissions.org.uk
Each Hounslow school aims to provide the best possible education for your child. Education spending has been increased over recent years and Hounslow Council has a firm commitment to excellent education, enabling the schools to encourage children to develop to their full potential.
Councillor Tom Bruce, Cabinet Member for Education, Children and Youth Services, Hounslow Council, said: “Applications received after the deadline of 15 January will only be dealt with once those which were received on time have been processed. I would urge parents not to miss the deadline because they are reducing the chances of their child being offered a place at their preferred school.”
"I would also urge parents to use all their preferences of schools on the application form. It’s not a good idea to only list your first choice of school because many schools do not have places for everyone who applies to them. We therefore need to know where else you might like your child to attend.”
