Hands raised asking a question.

Feltham residents have the chance to quiz members of Hounslow Council’s Cabinet about council services and local matters at the Cabinet Question Time event which takes place this evening (Wednesday 28 November), in The Hub, Feltham Library, The Centre, Feltham High Street, from 7pm to 9pm (doors open 6.45pm).

Tonight's session will be chaired by Mike Foston, local resident and creator of Feltham Community on Facebook, Trustee at the FCDA, and founder of iFHaB.org.uk for improvements in Feltham, Hanworth & Bedfont.

Following positive feedback from previous sessions in Chiswick and Hounslow, the Question Time event is coming to the west of the borough, and will provide the opportunity for residents to raise any issues they have in the area where they live and work with their Cabinet members.

Cllr Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council, said:

“These events are a great way for us to talk to residents about the local issues that matter to them. We’ve had a fair grilling in the past, and my fellow Cabinet Members and I fully expect to face some challenging questions, but by coming out to the community, it gives us a first-hand, real feel for what people are concerned about.

“I hope that we’ll have a good turn-out, and I look forward to seeing as many people as possible at these events, which will be held across the borough over the coming months.”

Mike Foston said: "I was surprised to be asked to Chair the meeting, but keen to take part and do my bit to help residents engage with the Cabinet to seek information, ask questions and even gain reassurance. I’ve been a Feltham resident for 15 years but have become increasingly active in the last five years or so, looking for opportunities to help improve any part of our community by working with others where opportunities arise."

All residents are welcome, and admission will be on a first-come, first-entry basis.

Further Cabinet Question Time events will be held on the following dates in other parts of the borough:

  • 23 January – Cranford Community College
  • 20 February – Brentford School for Girls
