The local election will take place on Thursday 3 May, and if you have registered to vote, poll cards are now being delivered.

Your poll card tells you which polling station you should use to vote on 3 May, but you do not need your poll card to vote.
If you don’t receive your poll card by next Tuesday, please check that you’re registered to vote by contacting the council’s Electoral Services team on firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 020 8583 2828.
You can register to vote online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. It only takes a few minutes.
All United Kingdom, European Union and Commonwealth citizens are eligible to vote in the Local Election, as long as they are 18 or over on polling day.
If you have moved recently, you should have re-registered at your new address.
The deadline for registering to vote at the upcoming local election is midnight on Tuesday 17 April.
How to vote
Your polling station will be open from 7am until 10pm on election day. Your poll card will include details of your named polling station. A full list of polling stations will be available online at www.hounslow.gov.uk/localelection2018 from Monday 9 April.
Can’t get to the polling station?
Anyone who is registered to vote can apply to have their ballot paper sent to them in the post. To apply, visit the Your Vote Matters website, download the relevant form and return Your Vote Matters website a scanned copy of the form to email@example.com
The deadline to return the postal vote form or written notifications of changes to existing postal or proxy arrangements is 5pm on Wednesday 18 April.
If you wish to apply for a new proxy vote application (someone to vote on your behalf) please download a form and return a scanned copy of the form to firstname.lastname@example.org
To apply visit Your Vote Matters website, the deadline to return the proxy vote form is 5pm on Wednesday 25 April.
Alternatively, post it to Electoral Services, Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, TW3 4DN.
