Hounslow Council has committed to take back the management of the borough’s parks, all of which it owns, from contractors Carillion.

At a Cabinet meeting last night [ Tuesday, 21 November], it was agreed that the Council’s wholly-owned company, Lampton 360, will used to handle parks management from April 2018.

Councillor Samia Chaudhary, Cabinet Member for Green Policy and Leisure, Hounslow, said; “By making this change, all the borough’s parks will be maintained to the same high standards, investment made in new vehicles and equipment, and savings of over £1 million per year will be made.”

“As such, the transfer will help achieve the Council’s promises of making Hounslow a cleaner, greener borough, encouraging active and healthy communities, and delivering quality services and value for money.”
