Following the terrorist incident at Parsons Green on Friday 15 September, a 21 year old man named in the media as Yahyah Faroukh was arrested on Saturday 16 September.

Police investigations are ongoing, and the council is working closely with the Borough police team behind the scenes. If you are approached for comment by the media you should refer the person to the police communications team or the council communications team on 07811 235545.

The advice that the council has issued to all communities in Hounslow remains to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to the police immediately using the anti-terrorist hotline: 0800 789 321, or in an emergency 999.

We can expect to see more police officers, both armed and unarmed, on patrol by foot and in vehicles over the coming days. In particular, they will be patrolling at crowded places, iconic sites, and transport hubs. This may mean disruption for those who are travelling and the public are asked to be patient and plan ahead, allowing time for delays.
