Friday's summit brought together London Mayor Sadiq Khan, other Council leaders, and MPs from across the city, to meet with the Policing Minister and Met Police Commissioner, Cressida Dick.
Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council, said:
“While Hounslow has less crime than the average London borough, there is still work to be done and I was proud to represent the Borough at this important summit. Our ambitious Safer Communities Strategy was approved in March and it commits us to work with our communities to keep Hounslow a low crime borough and a safe place to live, work, study and visit.
“I very much welcome Mayor Khan’s commitment to working across party lines and with relevant organisations to tackle violence, and to sharing information to reduce violence after this year's increase in teenage homicide. Like Sadiq, we are absolutely committed to driving down violence and supporting young people, by being tough on crime and its complex causes."
