Hounslow Council’s Registration Services has gone digital meaning residents can now book appointments to register Births, Deaths and Notice of Marriage or Civil Partnerships simply by visiting the council’s website.

Residents will no longer need to call to book appointments by phone and can instead use simple online booking forms.
Once booked they will be sent confirmation of their appointment via text and/or email with a reminder of any documentation they need to bring for the appointment.
As well as booking appointments, people will be able to make payments in advance for the services and any additional certificates they may need.
Residents will also be able to cancel and rebook appointments without the need to call using the link provided in the email and text.
A telephone service will remain in use to help and support people through the appointment booking process.
Councillor Pritam Grewal, Hounslow Council Cabinet Member for Customer Services and Corporate Performance, said:
"Residents tell us they want our services to be convenient and easy to use and being able to book appointments to register births, deaths and marriage online will definitely make life easier for people.
“These life events can be incredibly stressful with many things to do and arrange at the same time.
"Being able to book these key appointments on a phone or laptop and removing the need to call will be a real help in what can be challenging and sometimes difficult times in peoples’ lives."
This is the first phase of Hounslow’s Registration Services going digital.
Later in the summer we will be releasing a personalised online Ceremonies Planner to support couples in the run-up to their wedding or civil partnership, so they can make and submit their ceremony choices through the council’s website.
Later in the year the ability to order and pay for copy certificates will be added to the online range of services available from our Registrations Team.
