Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council said:
“Following the horrific terror attack in Finsbury Park in the early hours of this morning [Monday], we would like to express our deepest sympathy on behalf of everyone in our borough, to the families and friends of the person who has died and those who were injured.
“Sadly, we are yet again talking about another senseless attack. The Metropolitan Police are deploying extra police to reassure communities across London and I am in constant contact with our Borough Commander for Hounslow Police, Raj Kohli.
“We continue to encourage all our residents to remain calm but vigilant. We must stand strong together as one community and support each other in what are extremely difficult times.
“If you see anything that causes you concern or raises your suspicions, please call the Counter Terrorism Policing number 0800 789 321 or in an emergency 999.
