Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday 21 February, the UK will be coming out of lockdown over the course of the next few months following a four-step roadmap that the Government has laid out.

The first step of this plan is currently set to start on Monday 8 March. Currently, the borough is preparing for the changes that are due to take place on this date but until then nothing has changed and you must continue to stay at home at follow the national lockdown rules.

Though there are initial dates marked out by this plan, it is key to remember that these are just projections. These dates are liable to change if the evidence shows that infection rates are increasing during the process of lifting restrictions.

That’s why it is key that Hounslow residents continue to follow the restrictions, get tested regularly regardless of symptoms, and encourage each other to take the vaccine when we are offered it. This will keep you and your loved ones safe. These are the things we need to do so we don't lose this opportunity and ensure there is a chance to return to normal life on 21 June.

We will keep you updated as these rules and restrictions change.
