Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council: Fire at Grenfell Tower, Kensington and Chelsea

“Following our statement yesterday [Wednesday], I have met with Greg Ashman, Hounslow London Fire Brigade Borough Commander; Cllr Katherine Dunne, Lead Member for Housing; the Chief Executive and senior housing officers to discuss the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower and to agree a set of joint actions that continue to provide reassurance to our tenants who live in high-rise properties.”

“We have a rolling programme of Fire Risk Assessments that are completed annually, and we will be writing to all tenants to share the London Fire Brigade advice and guidance.”

“Once again, we send our sincere condolences to those in Kensington and Chelsea and particularly to the family and friends of those killed and injured, our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
