Statement from Hounslow Council on completion of works by Thames Water at Acton Lane
Published: Monday, 30th November 2020
Cllr Hanif Khan, Cabinet Member for Transport and One Hounslow at Hounslow Council said:
“We are relieved to see that emergency repair works by Thames Water, to repair a burst 30-inch water pipe on Acton Lane, were finally completed on Friday 27 November. Thames Water advised that the extended delay was due to the works being more complicated than initially thought and has apologised for the prolonged disruption to the area caused by these works.
“Our restricted access trial scheme at Turnham Green Terrace was suspended to facilitate these emergency works.
“Given there will still be disruption caused by the ongoing construction work for Cycleway 9, we will keep in place the suspension of the temporary restricted access scheme.
“A decision on the future of the temporary access restrictions will be made on Turnham Green Terrace based on the outcome of the interim review in the coming weeks”
