Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council and Councillor Sam Hearn, Leader of Conservative Group, Hounslow Council:

“Following the horrific terror attack in London Bridge and Borough Market on Saturday night (3 June), we would like to express our deepest sympathy on behalf of everyone in the borough, to the families and friends of all those killed and injured.

“This is another senseless attack, but we must all stand together as one community in the face of adversity. As a mark of respect the flags at the Civic Centre are being flown at half mast.

"We would like to thank the emergency services for their response and we encourage all our residents to remain vigilant and calm.

"Residents can be reassured that the Council will continue to work with the police in doing everything to keep the borough safe. If you see anything that causes you concern or raises your suspicions, please don’t hesitate to call the Counter Terrorism Policing number: 0800 789 321 - or in an emergency 999.”
