Hounslow Council has joined forces with Hounslow CCG [Clinical Commissioning Group] in the fight against dementia, during Dementia Awareness Week, which runs from Sunday 14 May to Saturday 20 May.

“What’s good for your heart is good for your head,” a one-week exhibition at the Watermans in Brentford, will look to raise awareness of dementia and promote the support that is available for local residents living with the symptoms and their families and carers.

Several staff at the Council have shown they are united against dementia and recently took part in a social media
campaign ‘Hounslow Is United Against Dementia’ being shown as part of the exhibition in the Riverside Gallery at Watermans.

Funded by Hounslow CCG, visitors can learn about the experiences of people living with dementia and their carers through a visual and interactive display.

They can also discover how Hounslow CCG and Council staff are supporting residents living with dementia.

There is an interactive social media wall, where people can get together online and join in the conversation during the awareness week, sharing experiences and views on dementia.

To join in the conversation use #DAW2017.
