Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council, said:
“Everyone at Hounslow Council is saddened to hear of the passing of former Councillor Roy Brookes Hall.
“Roy first became a councillor for the Gunnersbury Ward in February 1980, after being elected as a Labour councillor in a by-election and was then re-elected in 1982, serving until 1986.
“During his six years on the Council, he sat on both the Education Committee and the Social Services Committee as well as several other bodies, including the Hounslow Road Safety Committee and the London Transport Passenger Committee.
“Roy was a committed councillor for the Gunnersbury ward and its community. He will be remembered by many residents.
“Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. Today, the flag is flying at half-at the Civic Centre in his memory.”
